Key duties and responsibilities
- Train students to be competent drivers and able to pass the government test.
- To oversee all responsibilities of drivers and driving school.
- Ensuring all vehicles adhere to all roads safety regulations.
- Monitoring institute drivers and assigning drivers on duty.
- To keep up to date a proper inventory of all vehicles
- Assist in development and maintenance of active road safety preventive programs
- Training on defensive driving, traffic act, Highway Code and emergency response technique, VIII. To report any unusual behaviour for corrective action.
- To be punctual and know the students and drivers schedule.
- Ensure all vehicles are equipped with the necessary documentations such as emergency contacts and communication protocol, accidents/incidents report forms prior to making trips.
- Carryout preliminary investigations on transport related incidence and road accident in view of managing risks and exposure.
Required qualifications and competencies
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE- minimum grade D+) or equivalent qualifications from recognized institution.
- Valid driving licence BCE free from any current endorsement.
- Valid Instructors licence class BCEA, FG.
- Diploma or degree in business, automotive engineering or any other related course is an added advantage.
- NTSA accredited instructor training certificate.
- Exceptional customer experience certification.
- Defensive certification course from AA Kenya.
- At least six years progressively responsible experience in driving school procedures.
- Pedagogical Education Training.
